This website is operated by Amador Candle Company, 11760 Atwood Rd #8, Auburn, CA 95603, trading as Amador Candle. “We” in these terms means that company.

By using this website or placing an order you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

• An order is binding once we accept it and take payment. Before then we may decline it: if something has sold out, if the personalization is one we will not engrave, or if the order appears fraudulent.
• Each candle is made for its order and production starts soon after payment. Tell us at once if you need to change or cancel; once a lid is engraved it cannot be undone.
• Price, shipping and tax are shown in full before you pay. The total on the checkout page is the total.

You are responsible for the pictures, names and words you ask us to engrave, including their spelling. We engrave what you give us. Please check it before you pay; a misspelling is not a defect, and a personalized lid cannot be resold.

We will not engrave anything unlawful, hateful, or that infringes another person's trademark or copyright, and will refund an order that asks for it. Where you supply a picture, you confirm you have the right to use it.

Use the site lawfully. Do not attempt to damage it, overload it, break into it, or interfere with anyone else's use of it.

The text, photographs, logos and lid designs on this site belong to Amador Candle Company or to those who licensed them to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Buying a candle does not give you the right to reproduce a design. A picture you supply for your own lid remains yours; you give us only what we need to engrave it and to show you a preview.

We describe things as accurately as we can. Wood grain and engraving vary from lid to lid; that is the nature of real maple, not a fault. Fragrance is a matter of taste, and how strongly a candle scents a room depends on the room.

We may correct errors in descriptions, prices or availability. If a price is clearly wrong and you have already ordered at it, we will contact you before charging you.

A candle is an open flame. Never leave one burning unattended. Keep it away from children, pets and anything that can catch. Trim the wick to a quarter inch before each burn and burn for no more than three hours at a time. Follow the safety information supplied with the candle. We are not responsible for harm caused by unsafe use.

Amador Candle Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of the site or of the products. Our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts of California.

We may update these terms. The version in force for your order is the one published when you placed it. Changes are posted here with a new date at the top.
